Vasco da Gama bridge is a cable-stayed bridge located in the city Lisbon in Portugal and cross Targus river. The bridge is named after Vasco da Gama. He was a Portuguese explorer who found the sea route to India in 1498.
Construction of the bridge began in 1995, the bridge was completed in 1998 at the world exhibition in town.
The bridge has a life expectancy of 120 years, been designed to withstand wind speeds of 250 km/h
