About Arrábida Bridge
Arrábida Bridge is an arch bridge that crosses the river Douro in Porto, Portugal.
Since the 1930s, it was necessary to create alternate connections across the river, the other bridges in the town of Maria Pia and Luís I bridge could not handle the increased traffic. The building of the bridge started in 1957 and in 1963 opened the bridge, this was the largest concrete arch in the world.
